Fun With a Little Lego

If you are looking for something small to brighten your kid’s day, how about a little package of Lego? Have you seen the small packages of the minifigures Lego? You may find different colored packages that are from different series. This one is from series 23 and is the one I’ve seen the most recently in stores near us. The price seems to be $4.99 every place I’ve seen them for sale.

These little packages contain 1 minifigure and half the fun is the suspense of wondering which minifigure will be inside your package! For this series, there are 12 different figures available and they all look like fun!

Ok, it’s time to open the package!! Drum rolllllllllll…..! Which one will we get?!

We got the Sugar Fairy! 🙂 Yay! These are the parts included in this bag.

The Sugar Fairy has a two-sided face so you get to decide which one you will see by how you put the figure together.

It was fun putting her together! 🙂 A base for her to stand on was included as well as an extra crown.

Here she is!

Now she can hang out with Butterfly Girl! 😉

No matter which figure is inside your package, it’s bound to bring some smiles and fun!

It’s National Lego Day!

WHEEHAW! National Lego is a day to celebrate! Dust off those Lego sets and start building! 🙂

Lego sets are fun whether they are a big set or a very small set.

While Lego sets may seem to be on the expensive side, when you consider all the time that will be spent playing with them and all the different things that can be made from one set, it turns out not to be as expensive as it might seem at first.

Lego sets make great gifts! Here are some happy smiles from Christmas. 🙂

(Yes, that is a candy cane in his mouth.) Lol 😉

Building Lego is good for relaxation and also for mental stimulation. Did you know Lego even sponsors corporate retreats for adults? Sign me up! 🙂 There are Legoland theme parks (on my bucket list!), a Legoland Discovery Center in Tempe, AZ and lots of Lego retail stores you can visit. There are such things as Lego clothing, backpacks, bags, video games and Lego movies.

It can be fun to collect themed sets of Lego.

And it’s so fun to look forward to new Lego sets each year!

Be sure to check out all the fun at Lego.com! Have a great National Lego Day! 🙂

Lego Friends Animal Cubes

I’ve seen the cute Lego Friends Animal Cubes in the stores but I hadn’t bought one until recently when I found it on sale. These things are cute!! The little characters that come in them are girls so I suppose this toy is meant to be more for girls than boys. If you’ve wondered what all you get in a cube, I’ll show you today what came in the one I have…Stephanie’s Cat Cube.

First let me say, that each cube comes with a surprise animal. The package tells you what kind of animal it is such as a cat, but the color is a surprise until you open the little package inside. When you take the contents out of the cardboard packaging, this is what you’ll see:

The directions for building are included and when you open them up and open up the bag with the building pieces in it, this is what you have:

But you also need to open the cube because there are more things tucked inside of it.

Ready to start building? I think it helps to lay all the pieces out on the table with like colors together.

Let’s put Stephanie together first.

Follow the step-by-step directions to put the Lego pieces together. Oh, let’s open the mystery box and see what our surprise kitten looks like!

I got a tiny pink kitten! Sooo cute! 🙂

There are 2 stickers that go inside your cube and you make some ears that go on the outside of the cube.

Aaaand here we are, all put together and ready to play!

There are a few extra pieces of Lego included (in case some get lost) and there are a few more stickers that you can put wherever you like.

I’ll show you where I put my extra stickers. A couple of them on the top of the cube…

And 5 on the back of the cube. Pretty cute, aren’t they?

When you are done playing and it’s time to put your cube away, you will need to take the “put together” pieces out of the slots they slide into when standing upright. If you lay them inside the cube, you will be able to close the cube with your pieces safely tucked inside.

There are a few more Lego Friends Animal cubes available to buy in stores. (And now I want them all!) The regular price seems to be close to $9.99 but there are a few on sale on Amazon (for a limited time it says!) for $8.00 and $8.50. I saw some on Ebay with higher prices so look for those at least around $10.

When looking for these animal cubes online, I found that there are also other types of the Lego Friends cubes. Such as a fashion cube, a gaming cube, a shopping cube, a soccer cube, a play cube, a swimming cube and likely a few more.

I hope this post will help you learn just what these Lego Friends Cubes are like and perhaps you’ll want to buy some for your favorite girl! (I am not affiliated with any stores that sell these. Just sharing my thoughts!) 🙂

$1 UniKitty Lego Fun!

Are your kids crazy about Lego? It’s super fun to build and it’s good for eye hand coordination, patience, building skills, organization skills and so much more. It’s a great hobby that kids and adults can enjoy. It’s a great activity for spending quality time together. I found a super deal on UniKitty Lego at our local Barnes & Noble store. Little packaged Lego building sets that make 1 UniKitty normally priced at $3.99 were on sale for $1.00 each! The cashier told me that the prices on these are set by each store so check your local Barnes & Noble to see if they have the UniKitty sets for $1.00. Look for a sticker on the display box that says “Cheap! $1”.

Ok, I have to confess…I am a Lego fan myself. I bought one of these cute UniKitty’s back before Christmas, but last week I ended up buying 5 more. Haha! Cheap entertainment, right? Of course, I could say I bought them for my blog… 😉 Let me show you which ones I ended up with out of 6 packages. First is the one I bought before Christmas.

Here’s what one set looks like right from the bag.

In the process of building…

And finished!

Out of 6 bags, I actually ended up with 3 of this one! Haha! I think I needed someone else to pick the bags for me! 😉

The next one looked like this…

And done!

At first, I thought it was mad but then I noticed the little z’s on each side of its mouth and I think it’s just sleeping. Guess how many of this one I ended up with? Two! (See? I really did need some help picking out the right bags!)

So that was my cheap fun for the day! 6 UniKitty Lego sets…the directions are rather sparse but you can look at the enclosed paper and see how to put them together. So if you are around a Barnes & Noble store and your kids (or you!) like Lego, you might want to pop in and see if they have this great sale too!
